In case you missed it I was recognized as one of Dr. Pan's Senate District 6 Unsung Heroes. I was also thrilled and honored to receive the Bill Bean Youth Commitment Award from the Sacramento Police Department and local churches lead by Pastor Francis Anfuso at the Sacramento's City Awards Celebration. Turns out I went to high school with our new Chief of Police Daniel Hahn. Small world huh? We also got a little bump from the fine folks at ABC News 10 a few weeks back.
Now for the ASK.
We need 20 grand unrestricted seed money. Is that too much to ask?
Our 20 year old donated truck needs full service and smog
We need a full size shipping container + shop build out
We need a a 7.5+hp 80 gallon air compressor
We need grips, tires, chains for our 32 bike racing fleet
We need a trailer that can carry our race fleet and pop-up shop
I am interested in launching a non-profit, foundation, church, or B-corp. I'm starting a Facebook fan page where we can bounce ideas and take this thing to the next level. It's called the Bike Star Foundation. Bike STaR stands for Safety, Transportation, and Recreation.
As it stands I am a sole proprietor mobile bicycle repair shop. It is possible to run donations through the ReIMAGINE Mack Road Foundation but if we gonna go through all this trouble we may as well go for autonomy. If you desperately need a tax right off sooner than later or you have a hard time believing I can pull this off I can direct you to the Mack Road Partnership but they have a new Director and we have not established protocol for this.
Please contact me with thoughts or concerns regarding how to proceed. Until then I''ll just be the goofy old white dude in a pickup truck with a box of tools and a heart of gold.
